Dow supports more than THB 4million to help Thailand fight new wave of COVID-19

Bangkok – June 24, 2021 – As part of the ‘Dow supports Thailand to fight COVID-19’ campaign during new wave of epidemics, the Dow Thailand Group has continuously provided essential resources, including products, equipment protection and rescue bags from Dow. worth over THB 4 million, to government agencies, hospitals and communities where the company operates.

Since the new wave of COVID-19 in 2021, Dow and Solvay have donated more than 100,000 liters of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) – a product of MTP HP JV Company, a joint venture between Dow and Solvay in Thailand – in Bangkok and Rayong (in addition to more than 15 million liters already donated in 2020) to disinfect public places. H2O2 disinfectant is safe for the environment as it is non-corrosive, colorless and breaks down into oxygen and water without leaving harmful chemicals after use.

Dow provided hospitals and COVID-19 testing centers with the medical and protective equipment they needed. The effort includes a donation of powered air purifying respirators (PAPRs) to Rayong Hospital, a fundraising campaign with employees to support the Siriraj Foundation in purchasing the high flow oxygen devices that increase the chances of survival of COVID-19 patients. Dow has also supported protective gear, such as hand sanitizer gels and sprays, pedal liquor dispensers, face masks, food and clean water to healthcare workers and government officials. first line of Rayong, an industrial and tourist destination with a large number of people.
